Dizziness & Vertigo in Divers

The previous lecture reviewed Dizziness & Balance in general. This presentation considers the differential diagnosis of dizziness and vertigo in divers in particular.

Dizziness and vertigo are commonly associated with diving. They may occur prior to diving - in the form of motion sickness - or at any stage during and after the dive.

Determining the stage of the dive when symptoms arose is often critical in establishing the final diagnosis. However, even then there may be some exceptions and pitfalls, which this presentation attempts to spell out.
