The South African practice will not be active in their absence.

All your records are available to them through the SACAA EMPIC system or SAUHMA Database, so your visit to them should be simple and without any difficulty. I appreciate your support of our practice. Aviation Medical Assessment
Please note that underlying medical conditions, medication or the findings of the aviation medical examination may deny you the privileges of a medical fitness certificate.
Click here for a list of medication that is contra-indicated with flying.
These include, Ritalin, Concerta, epilepsy medication, mood stabilizers, and roaccutaine or equivalents
The medical consists of:

Consultation: History & Exam, U-Dipstix, Audiometry, Orthorater Eye Test, Colour vision

Lung Function: Intervals as per CAA table (see table below)

ECG: Intervals as per CAA table (see table below)

Chest X-Ray: Only done routinely for first medical - can be done @ Nearest hospital / clinic with X-ray facilities
