Aviation Medical Assessment

 

Please note that underlying medical conditions, medication or the findings of the aviation medical examination may deny you the privileges of a medical fitness certificate.

 

Click here for a  list of medication that is contra-indicated with flying.

These include, Ritalin, Concerta, epilepsy medication, mood stabilizers, and roaccutaine  or equivalents

 

The medical consists of:

  • Consultation: History & Exam, U-Dipstix, Audiometry, Orthorater Eye Test, Colour vision

  • Lung Function: Intervals as per CAA table (see table below)

  • ECG: Intervals as per CAA table (see table below)

  • Chest X-Ray: Only done routinely for first medical - can be done @ Nearest hospital / clinic with X-ray facilities
